Conscientious Objection WI

Providing Conscientious Objection education and resources to empower young adults facing the draft in northwest Wisconsin.

What is Conscientious Objection? A conscientious objector is one who is opposed to serving in the armed forces and/or bearing arms on the grounds of moral or religious principles (per sss.gov). Recently, our administration has made registration for the draft automatic for young adults. Many are unaware that there is a means and process by which military service may be refused. We hope to educate the young adults in our NW Wisconsin communities about this process, and empower them in the face of a potential draft.

For the young people (or young people in your life!): a chance to learn about a little known, often misunderstood mechanism by which one can legally refuse to be drafted! Join us August 15 and August 22 at the New Richmond Public Library for a two-part seminar where you can learn more. Please reach out if you are interested or have questions!
